What is IPL skin rejuvenation?
The Nordlys IPL treatment works by sending short pulses of visible light into the Epidermis, without damaging the surrounding tissue. The light is absorbed by the melanin, the pigment which gives the skin its colour, and haemoglobin, which carries oxygen in the red blood cells, and is then converted to heat. This then destroys parts of the cells where the excess melanin is stored and damages the walls of the blood vessels where vascular damage is present. IPL is most effective and safe on Fitzpatrick skin types I to III. IPL rejuvenates your skin by giving it a bright, clear and smooth appearance.
This treatment has a range of benefits and effectively treats sun damaged skin, vascular lesions and rosacea. IPL improves the quality of your skin, lightens and removes hyper pigmentation and reduces fine lines and refines enlarged pores.
